Blade: The blade is made from BOS Heat Treated 420HC which offers great toughness and corrosion resistance with good edge retention, ease of sharpening and razor sharpness. A mid-height hollow grind on the blade delivers powerful slicing performance while retaining toughness at the spine with a subtle recurve profile with belly for slicing and skinning. Jimping at the forward portion of the spine facilitates enhanced control while doing skinning or caping tasks. The blade is optimized with a thin, slicing hollow grind to handle game processing tasks and opens via a generous thumb stud.

Handle: A high traction Versaflex rubber handle with an integrated index finger groove guards the hand from the blade while well thought out texturing and jimping provides added security in the hand. The ergonomic handle design means you’ve got a comfortable and secure grip until the job is done and the hole at the pommel end allows for lanyard attachment for added security. The simple and timeless lock back construction is simple to operate and one of the strongest locks around.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With BOS heat treat from Buck it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
