The Hinderer Knives XM-18 3.5″ Gen 6 is now being offering in a “Vintage Series” line that delivers this modern folder with some timeless materials (each individually numbered). The Skinner profile blade is executed in O1 Tool Steel, a stalwart in the Bushcraft community, with a Parkerized finish. Your standard G10 front scale is replaced with warm and classic walnut. The rest of the knife is as you know it: a hard use, every day tactical folder you can count on. As the medium-sized model in the Hinderer family, the XM-18 3.5 was designed to fit most hands comfortably and has a reasonable blade size to handle almost any task. Easy, one-handed operation combined with a reliable lock system and solid performance are the benchmarks of the XM-18.

Blade: The three and a half inch, upswept Skinner blade opens fast and smooth via the integral flipper or dual thumb studs/blade stops. The O1 Tool Steel blade delivers good edge retention and toughness while the Parkerized finish is both discreet and corrosion resistant. Rick’s own Tri-Way pivot system creates silky smooth operation with your choice of bearings, nylon or bronze washers. The detent is dialed in for decisive flipper deployment.

Handle:  Full titanium frame lock and liner have a matching Battle Green Finish (anodized green Working Finish) that is rugged and hides wear well while having a classic visual appeal when paired with the handsome Smooth Walnut scale. Bronze Hardware and standoffs create one solid, easy to maintain package. A forward choil, strategically placed jimping and an ergonomic handle design delivers security and control in the hand. Includes the Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer for added performance. S/N V1592.

Carries via a two-position titanium clip with insert for right hand carry only.

Tri-Way Pivot: The newest innovation from Rick Hinderer, the Tri-Way pivot features milled pockets in the blade and frame allowing for the use of ball bearing pivot washers (installed) or, utilizing steel spacers to fill those pockets, you can use either of the included sets of nylon or bronze washers to customize the action and operation of your knife.

O1 Tool Steel: Popular as a forging steel O1 tool steel is used by custom and production makers alike. Good edge stability, wear resistance, and toughness, O1 can reach 65HRC and works well with refined edge at high hardness for smaller knives.
