The Spur is a nimble, lightweight everyday carry fixed blade with a thin, sleek profile for versatile cutting performance. Carry is just as important as the knife design for a fixed blade, so the Spur comes with a specially designed multi-carry sheath with secure click-in feature, an upgrade from traditional friction fit sheaths and vertical/horizontal carry strap. For versatility and functionality, the Spur is a perfect choice. This version comes with a stonewashed AEB-L blade and natural canvas Micarta handles.
Brand new directly from Smith & Sons, USA.
Blade:Â A svelte AEB-L stainless steel construction gives the Spur durability, an easy to maintain razor sharp edge and solid corrosion resistance. The blade sports a tumbled finish that hides wear from use, while the thin stock and full flat grind offer exceptional cutting performance. A narrow, straight spine profile offers utility for a variety of tasks, and the big ‘spur’ index guard provides added security during use.
Handle: Natural canvas Micarta scales are supported by the full tang construction. Paired with the pommel swell design, the scales give this small knife a big feel that is comfortable enough for serious, extended use. Micarta is a rugged, durable and high traction material, even when wet. Black hardware holds the scales securely, and a hole at the pommel end has an attached lanyard for easy draw from the sheath.
Sheath: Carries via a click-in leather sheath with vertical/horizontal belt loop. Mini Tek-Lok compatible.
Bohler AEB-L:Â Originally developed for razor blades and often described as a stainless 52100, AEB-L takes a very fine edge, is easy to sharpen and has a high toughness with good corrosion resistance and better edge holding than carbon steels. Excellent edge stability (resistance to rolling and chipping) allows for a thinner edge and better cutting performance. AEB-L is produced by Sandvik as 13C26.
